Dass Feminismus Männern gut tut, davon ist Jens van Tricht überzeugt. Der Aktivist und Gründer der Organisation Emancipator kritisiert eine traditionelle Männlichkeit, die für viele gesellschaftliche Probleme verantwortlich sei – bis hin zu Gewalt, Kriegen und Klimakrise. Feminismus bedeute nicht, „dass wir den Frauen sagen, sie sollen sein wie Männer. Wir müssen unser Gesellschaftssystem ändern“, erklärt van Tricht. Männer-Emanzipation sei deshalb nicht nur persönlich, sondern auch politisch. Immer mehr Männer befreien sich von patriarchalen Männlichkeitsbildern: „Sie wollen Vater sein, sich um Kinder sorgen, eine gleichberechtigte Partnerschaft leben.“

Jens van Tricht is convinced that feminism is good for men. The activist and founder of the organisation Emancipator criticises a traditional masculinity that is responsible for many social problems - including violence, wars and the climate crisis. In a feminist, egalitarian world, men would have lost power, but they would also have gained a lot, especially qualities that are considered to be feminine, but the truth is it´s "simply human". Feminism does not mean "that we tell women to be like men. We have to change our social system," explains van Tricht. Men's emancipation is not only personal, but also political. More and more men are liberating themselves from patriarchal images of masculinity: "They want to be fathers, care for children, live in an equal partnership.
