The devotion for today, Thursday, December 30, 2021 was written by Staci Orr and is narrated by Rev. Andria Davis. Today’s Words of Inspiration come from Mark 13: 5-8, 32-37:Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son of Humankind, but only God the Creator. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a person going away, leaving the house and home, putting servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and telling the one at the door to keep watch.“Therefore, keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If the owner comes suddenly, do not be found sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”Support the show (https://onrealm.org/cathedralofhope/give/wordsofhope)
