Nigeria is a country located in West Africa, a federal republic once under. Nigeria is a challenging environment for LGBTIQ people. Once under British Colonial rule, it is a largely conservative country, where both female and male same-sex sexual activity being illegal. But storytelling is not illegal.

Once group has created the first film in Nigeria centred on two female lead characters in a loving lesbian relationship. Pamela Adie is Executive Director of the Equality Hub, a non-governmental organisation, fighting against the discrimination and social injustices that female sexual minorities are facing. They created the film Ìfé to empower and strengthen female sexual minorities in this largely homophobic country.
