Naturopathic doctors treat a variety of chronic conditions, and there is a strategy to finding the right practitioner for you. Aside from their years of experience, ask if your naturopath has any areas of “special interest”. This means they have taken additional professional education in a specific modality or health condition. Naturopaths may also have equipment in their office for assessment or treatment, such as microscopes, BIA machines, or electrodermal testing. Interestingly, Google reviews and written testimonials are not allowed by their advertising regulations, so word of mouth is best!
