Today on Wussy Movie Club, we can’t help but stan a prestige period piece as we dive further into our Sapphic Season with the 2018 black comedy, “The Favourite”. 

 

The film is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and stars a trio of #GirlBosses Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz and of course Olivia Colman, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress that year. 

 

JJoining us today to break down the fashion, the herstory, and the queerness of “The Favourite” is Atlanta writer and dramaturge, Rachel Garbus.
