Pessimism surrounding the upcoming NFL season hit new levels on Monday morning after MLB's opening weekend fell flat on its face. After reports that at least 14 players on the Miami Marlins had tested positive for coronavirus and a slew of games were cancelled, anyone with an interest in sports wondered how the NFL could realistically and safely pull off a season after such a quick blunder in baseball.

Terez Paylor & Charles Robinson open the podcast on this startling turn of events. Charles details why the NFL will be much better prepared to test and quarantine its players than Major League Baseball and Terez plays a little devil's advocate and wonders if competitiveness will be the sport's achilles heel. (3:00)

They also discuss the myriad players who have announced they will opt out of the 2020 season including a handful of defenders on the New England Patriots and the newly acquired WR Devin Funchess of the Green Bay Packers. (28:15)

Taking a step back to the weekend, the guys recap the trade between the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks which sent star safety Jamal Adams to the pacific northwest for a pair of first round picks. Was this a good deal for both sides? (36:45)
