After a coordinated social media push on Sunday involving Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson and more, NFL players successfully kickstarted a whirlwind two days of negotiations regarding each team's health and safety procedures on the eve of training camps opening later this week.


Terez Paylor and Charles Robinson open the podcast with the latest on the continuing talks between the league and the players' union. With testing procedures agreed upon and out of the way, the major question left is the economics of this 2020 season – will owners try to earn back a bargaining chip lost in this years' CBA in exchange for lightening the financial burden on the players?

Looking ahead to 2021, our colleague Eric Edholm wrote a column last week on three possible scenarios the NFL could look to for next April's draft if the 2020 season doesn't get played. The guys examine each scenario, including one that saw the Patriots win a lottery simulation and offer their thoughts on how the league could fairly order the 2021 draft if the worst case scenario indeed comes to pass.
