How Do I Tell a Radio Station That I’m a Stripper - a podcast by AM Davies

Sage’s story is incredible.  Not only in the way she handled herself, which was amazing, but also how the people she reached out to treated her, which was… the opposite of amazing.  She tells us all about the time she reached out to radio station Hot 97 in New York and was met with put downs, people laughing at her and disparaging her for being a stripper.  The same radio station that plays endless hip hop music.  Strippers and strip club culture inspire so much of hip hops music.  So, there is definitely some whorephobia that these radio DJ’s are dealing with and perpetuating into the communities that their airwaves reach.  We hope the crew over at Hot 97 listens to this one.
