How do we break through our barriers and make a positive change?

Half of the time we prevent ourselves from moving forward. It can be for all sorts of reasons, or at least we will come up with all sorts of reasons!

Sometimes it’s even hard to identify WHAT those barriers are. For me, usually it is that something just doesn’t feel right or seem right. And I’ll admittedly get frustrated that I’m not more intune with myself.

Often, to break down our barriers and make positive change we need to tap into our personal power, 

In today’s episode, I share ways in which you can break down your internal barriers by tapping into your personal power using Body, Mind and Soul.

Here’s a brief interpretation of Body, Mind and Soul in my opinion:

The Body – the physical body, in this case I’m focusing on your energy centre, the navel centre and solar plexus; your abdominal area.

The Mind – part of the brain, the witnessing of the Self, the part of you that you train through meditation and breathwork (to control ‘prana’ aka energy, using the breath).

The Soul – your heart, the creator of emotional energy, the controller of blood pressure and hormonal influence.

Mental Health in the Punk Scene

792 million people, worldwide, have a mental health disorder*.⁣⁣

And we know, from recent news reports, that there has been a rise in people being affected by mental health issues due to the impact of COVID-19 and forced isolation.⁣

To keep homeostasis, we need to be able to self-regulate and co-regulate, which is why community and connection with others is so important to our mental health.⁣

I created the Mental Health in the Punk Scene survey.⁣
