Now many of us know that the way the anxiety manifests can be different depending on the person and the type of anxiety they are experiencing.

For me, the security of being in my own home and working flexibly, really eases my anxiety. I don’t have the added stress of driving into work anymore, or having to deal with an open office.

But for others, all this isolation is making their anxiety worse.

One thing we have in common though is that anxiety and stress can manifest in a physical sensation. So achy shoulders and neck, or back pain, heart palpitations, headache, tight stomach, or knots in the stomach are just a few examples.

This is where Yoga Asana can be incredibly useful. No matter the pace, yoga can be described as a moving meditation. Whether you are repeating a specific sequence or a specific pose (like in Kundalini Yoga). This can very much help the release tension in the mind and the body.

In this week’s episode, we look at a few Hatha Yoga poses that help with relieving feelings of stress and anxiety. First I’ll share the why and if you’re part of the Yoga Punx Unite - Live community, then you can also join in with the slow Hatha Yoga flow class I do at the end.
