6 THE HERITAGE OF FAITH

Jehovah is the portion
of my inheritance
and my cup;
You sustain my steps
where they go.
Psalm 16: 5

It is not like them the portion of Jacob; because he is the Maker of everything,
and Israel is the scepter of his inheritance;
Jehovah of armies is his name.
Jeremiah 51:19

And now, brothers,
I entrust you to God,
and to the word of his grace,
which has the power to build you up and to give you an inheritance
with all those who are sanctified.

In him also we had inheritance,
having been predestined
according to the purpose

according to the design of his will,
