THE DIVINE RESOURCES
"And no one ascended into heaven, but he who came down from heaven, the Son of man, who is in heaven."
John 3:13
what is already being said is that the Lord Jesus had in the background of his life here among men with his only resource his Father and the multiform wisdom of God through the divine resources, over which he was continually recurring in his life and work.
This can be put in this inclusive way: Christ, despite having become flesh, had his life on earth and heaven by the Spirit.
Although here on earth, He was nonetheless in a spiritual way, and in a very living way or natural but with another resource.
the indestructible life of God and influence.
The same we see in his followers were filled with the Holy Spirit as Jesus breathed on them in a spiritual way.
Also empowered by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and then the expression of his body the Church. Surely if the language means something that means that Christ had an elevated ascended life or another life. If He is establishing a contrast between Him and everything else, the point of contrast is clearly found in this fact of having ascended into heaven. It is the implication of that statement that is so full of meaning. Christ had his life permanently in heaven by the Spirit and he opens the door back to the Father and access to divine resources through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
We have seen Christ as the true spiritual fulfillment of the ladder to heaven, which was established on earth, and the top of which reached heaven. Later, the Lord told Nathanael: "From henceforth you will see that heaven opens and the angels of God ascend and descend on the Son of Man." Now, He is available to us as the ladder to heaven, then He is both in heaven and on earth. He is on earth, and at the same time he is in heaven. In Him, heaven and earth are united, united, and while He is here on this earth for purposes of expression and action, He is also in heaven. The point is that his life, and all its resources, were extracted from above. I was in contact with inexhaustible resources, and resources that could never die, because they were not from this earth, and could never be subject to the touch of corruption that is characteristic of everything on this earth.
He draws contrasts of his perfection, like this one:
"I give you my peace, not as the world gives it to you, I give you ..."
The contrast lies in the fact that whatever peace the world gives you is a fading. Peace, a peace that does not last, a perishable peace, a corruptible peace. It is always doubtful; You never know how far it will take you or how long it will last.
But of the peace that He gives to the Lord, Jesus said: "Not as the world gives, I will give it to you." What comes from heaven is not subject to the vanity to which all this creation is subject.
Vanity, as this passage of Scripture makes clear, simply means never reaching fulfillment or fullness. always under limitation. and always governed by what is transient and transient. That is vanity. All this creation has been subjected to vanity by an act of God.
But Christ does not belong to this creation, nor are His resources of this creation. Therefore, there is no vanity.
Because of the resurrection, it can be proven by not fainting, by not being discouraged, but by always abounding
"Because they know, they know that their work is not in vain in the Lord." That great statement is marked with a "why", and that word also unites us with what has happened before: "Death swallows in victory Oh, death, where is your sting? Where is your grave? Where is your victory? " Thanks to God the Father who gave us the victory and all the divine resources through our Lord Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit.
Glory, glory and more glory
