Change is an absolute necessity in life, but since we've all been forced into quarantine, change is everything. And for chefs and restaurants right now, change is helping us survive.

Chef Sonia El Nawal, owner of Summerlin's Rooster Boy Cafe, has turned her popular Desert Shores cafe into a take-out general store. She sells not only pastries and pastas, but also toilet paper and meat packs. Although she admits pivoting during this pandemic hasn't been easy, she's quick to point out all the things she's still grateful for - including her hardworking staff and loyal neighborhood customers.

Pro tip: if you have a hankering, give her a call at Rooster Boy. She'll pretty much make anything you want. And Chef Sonia has cooked across the globe so her specialties know no bounds.
