And now settle in for the Affirmations...This is going to be a great day
Sure, circumstances impact how I feel about lifeBut I own my emotions
I own my happinessI am clear on what makes me happy
And putting more of this in my lifeI am clear on what makes me unhappy
And having less of this in my lifeI have channels for expressing gratitude
And I exercise these channels dailyI am clear on all my sources of fun
I am clear on all my sources of fulfillmentI am doing the things I need to do every day to create a happier life
But I know that doing things isn’t going to make me happy Happiness is a choice
And something I need to navigate in each season of my lifeI’ve learned from seasons of unhappiness
And how I can manage things differentlySome of life is what happens to us, but most of life is how we deal with what happens to us
Happy things don’t always happenHappy feelings aren’t always present
But inner happiness - it’s not dependent on feelings or eventsGetting stuck is something we all experience
Suffering is something we all experienceBeing a victim in an experience is different from being a victim in a mindset
I can choose to see myself as a victim of lifeOr I can choose to see myself as an owner of happiness
I listen to how I define my lifeHow I share my stories
What grips my soulAnd I check within myself where victimhood ends and happiness begins
I have the power to change my storyWhere I am the hero
Where I rise above painWhere I do heal from suffering
And start a new storyCreate a new path
I tune in to how I manage disappointmentsI offer myself new perspectives
I choose lifelong happiness over lifelong sufferingI reflect on my thoughts, my emotions, my responses
And build a life of happiness instead of blameI own my body
I own my behaviorsI own my choices
I own every decisionI own my happiness
