The pregnancy was complicated but their daughter was born and she was healthy. But then 27 hours after giving birth, as she was getting ready to meet the baby she hadn't yet held, Liz died of a pulmonary embolism. This is the subject of Matt's memoir, Two Kisses for Maddy, which has been turned into Fatherhood, the number one Netflix movie at the time this episode airs. Kevin Hart plays Matt. Obama has tweeted about the movie. (His production company helped bring it to the screen.)
