After a stint as an optometrist and restaurant manager, Kyrillos Mansour, founder of First Brick Property Buyers Agency, started a side hustle as a buyer’s agent. He says the first few years involved a lot of education, because people didn’t know what a buyer’s agent was.

Suddenly, Kyrillos signed up 18 to 20 clients in a single month and realised all his hard work had paid off. So he quit his job and became a buyer’s agent full time – even so he had to stagger those clients so he could give them quality service.Kyrillos talks to Buyer’s Agent Institute founder Ben Handler about not growing the business too fast, because it could fail as fast. Now in his fourth year, Kyrillos is employing more people but did not take that step lightly. He wanted to be confident his business was sustainable so he could offer staff secure, long-term employment.

Kyrillos has bought about a hundred properties for his clients at an average of half a million dollars each.Doing this job every day makes Kyrillos smile. His advice is to do what you love and to not let fear of failing stop you from trying.

Buyer’s Agent Institute can give you the advice you need to become your own boss and build a successful buyer’s agency business. Go to www.buyersagentinstitute.com.au/enquire to start the journey.
