Being an aid station volunteer can be an amazing experience. It’s both a rewarding and important job. Being a volunteer is a lot more than just showing up with a poster board sign and cheering on runners. As an aid station worker you have the chance to help runners put out their best possible efforts at a race. Volunteers play a huge role in the experience of all the race participants. From packet pickup to course sweeping, volunteers are the ones who make it all possible. In this runner’s opinion, being an aid station volunteer is an awesome responsibility. With the right mindset and tips, you can not only rock that aid station but you can elevate everyone’s race day experience.
In this podcast I will share with you just how one should go about being an awesome aid station volunteer. From signing up for the job to ringing that cow bell, you can be ready to do great!
