The inaugural UTE 100 mile trail race was rugged, remote, and beautiful. It was an excellent representation of the East Coast flavor of ultra running set in those gorgeous valley and peaks of the west. This is the story of Jessica Croisant’s 82 mile jog in the mountains. She was well beyond her comfort zone and really had no business attempting such a high and remote event….but she did anyway. Jess was removed off the course at mile 82 because she missed the very last cut off by five minutes. This is her story of actively seeking adversity….regardless of the risk.
