In segment three, British Keerthi arrives with Nerd Extraordinaire providing tips on how to write dystopian fiction! Dystopia is a subgenre of science fiction. Science fiction is defined as fantasy that has supernatural, science-based elements in it. Soft science fiction focuses on social sciences, and hard science fiction focuses on the natural sciences. The dystopian genre is a prediction of life in the future, and it specifically is a negative prediction, basically portraying the future as this horrible, ruined, world plagued and bound by the restricting demands of society; essentially, the opposite of a utopia.
