ONE SMALL STEPTodd reminds us that the best way we have to love others sacrificially is often by leaning into the part of ourselves that we tend to repress: thinking, feeling or doing. Consider which is hardest for you to access or which question seems the fuzziest: What do I think about this? What do I feel in this situation? or What it mine to do?
Then, as you reenter community and relationships post-pandemic, begin to ask yourself that question. If your doing center is repressed instead of thinking too much or feeling, what can you do? If the thinking center is repressed, consider how you might begin to think through a particular challenge. If your feeling center is repressed, ask what you feel in a given situation and how might you consider others’ feelings?Tag me at @aahales on Twitter or Instagram to let me know what works for you.
