This is one in a series of four podcasts that looks at women’s health and pregnancy.
This edition gives advice when it comes to exercise after giving birth, particularly the first few weeks and months. It looks into exercise for those who have had a caesarean section - for example, why lifting a car seat could present a problem and how to do it properly, and the best way to get out of bed.
The podcast also discusses positions and postures that women adopt during feeding and how that can cause shoulder pain and back pain.
Sam Wilde is Pure Sports Medicine’s deputy clinical director and he hosts the podcast.
Sam has been speaking to Suzy Veitch and Ellie McKay. They are physiotherapists with a special interest in women’s health.
Be sure to subscribe to the Pure Sports Medicine channel so you can receive the rest of this series of episodes. They take a look at both prenatal health and postnatal health.
