Welcome to episode 48. In this episode we’re going to be discussing how using psilocybin can be used as a catalyst for healing.

That's right! Today we’re going to talk about magic mushrooms.

What do you think of when you hear someone talk about magic mushrooms?

Research-backed benefits:

  • Boost creativity

  • Treat depression

  • Enhance mood

  • Quit lesser habits

Clinical study regarding microdosing:

“ researchers at New York University and John Hopkins conducted one of the largest set of trials for studying the therapeutic effects of psilocybin mushrooms on cancer patients. To the astonishment and surprise of many, 80% of cancer patients showed major reductions in psychological stress, anxiety, and depression for up to seven months or longer after only one magic mushroom experience. In addition to the remarkable healing benefits, no other significant side effects were documented. Meaning, there was no observable downside.”

“ University of South Florida has recently conducted research which shows that mushrooms have the ability to grow new brain cells in mice, and help them overcome fearful stimuli. ”

If you have tried magic mushrooms and had a “bad” trip, we hope to reframe that for you.

Psilocybin is known to rewire neural pathways, meaning it has this capability to change your perception, your mood, your cognition and more. When we do things that shift our perception, our life changes – this is because your outer world is merely a projection of your inner world. So when you meditate or have a psilocybin experience in this case, you start seeing the world differently.

This is also because it increases the synchronicity in your brain, making it hyper-connected. Past fearful experiences and trauma may have cut off certain pathways in our brains in order to keep us viewing a limited experience of life – one that our ego perceived as safer.

My opinion on psilocybin is this;

It almost allows the ego to “get drunk” while your soul stays lucid. While alcohol makes your soul and ego drunk.

When our soul comes through without the ego limiting us, we allow ourselves to enter into these higher states of healing. The ego may come through and try to fight the experience because it’s not comfortable and “known”/what we see every day, but ultimately the key of allowing the experience to heal you is to surrender. And remember to integrate your experience afterwards – if you had a bad experience, what was showing up for you?
