Cancer is something that happens to other people, until it happens to you or someone you love. With a dramatic rise in cancer diagnoses it’s natural to question whether there’s anything at all we can be doing to prevent it. Is a cancer diagnosis simply just bad luck? Is a cardboard coloured poo really the dream? And does Laura’s “Hindu” neck tattoo really say she’s a tw*t?

Today’s guest is cancer confidence coach Sophie Trew, Sophie was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at the age of 23. This was her wake-up call. Join Laura and Abi as they discover how Sophie’s cancer diagnosis changed her life, what we can consider doing to optimise our health and how Sophie came to be the founder of Trew Fields, the first holistic health and cancer awareness festival in the world. In 2018 Sophie won an award for being a Remarkable Person for outstanding contribution to the cancer community making her an extraordinarily ordinary person.

*****Today’s podcast comes with lots of opinions, none of which should be taken as medical advice because Laura, Abi and Sophie aren’t doctors. Listen to your doctor and not just your gut and perhaps skip this one if you’re a “Sensitive Sally”*****
