Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Grown out of the need to provide higher education to Black students when white institutions would not let us in. Today, these institutions are the center of Black academic culture. Some of our favorite celebrities attended HBCUs (hey Meg Thee Stallion!). In today’s episode, Dr. Dom and Terri are joined by Grambling University alum, current Texas Southern University professor, and friend of the podcast, Dr. Jannis Moody to discuss life on a Black college campus.

Quote of the Day:

“HBCUs: where the whole campus is for you and not just that one building and that one event.”
