For a community of individuals with autism expressing emotion can be a challenge that photography can overcome. Shannon lives, loves, and plays in the Pacific Northwest (US) with her husband, young person, service dog, and three kitties. She is an autistic ADHDer with PDA (pathological demand avoidance), as is her young person. Shannon creates memorial art and documentary photography for families with aging pets through her business Slobbered Lens, and also teaches families how to use any camera to document their own lives and gain a sense of control and emotional awareness.
