Katrina Rye has had a breakthrough year in 2019. She comfortably took the overall Age Group win by 15 minutes at Challenge Gran Canaria in April, finishing only 5 minutes behind Emma Pallant. She then decided to turn Pro and less two months later finished third at Staffordshire 70.3, qualifying for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in the process. Katrina talks about how she combines her training and racing while working as a physio for the British Army, she explains why she swapped hockey for triathlon and gives us a valuable insight into the value of strength and conditioning.
