Did you know that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master something? Yes, you heard that right. It takes about 10,000 hours of practice to achieve a world class mastery of anything.

This information came from the book Outliers, and the author, Malcolm Gladwell, mentioned that talents are certainly a key ingredient in the recipe for success, but there is also another key which is practice.

In this episode, I’d like to share with you the perspective of why there’s no such thing as perfection. As it was said in the book, 10,000 hours is the minimum to be a master of something, and most of us will probably not have the time or spend this time to be an expert. And just like in parenting, we need to throw away this notion of being the perfect parent, instead we should replace it with progressing.
