The moving documentary, Skid Row Marathon (https://skidrowmarathon.com/), features the true story about Los Angeles Judge Craig Mitchell's Skid Row Running Club in Los Angeles, Judge Mitchell meets runners for early morning training runs that start from the Midnight Mission, a shelter that provides services to build a bridge between homelessness and self-sufficiency. Through Judge Mitchell's efforts, members of the Skid Row Running Club, many of whom served years in prison and/or struggling with addiction, benefit from the transformative power of running. Judge Mitchell helps the runners train and raises funds for the runners to run marathons all over the world.  We had the pleasure of talking with one very successful member of the Skid Row Running Club, Miguel Angel Salgado ("Angel"). In just a few short years, Angel, after serving over a decade in prison, transitioned from a parolee battling addiction to a marathoner and ultrarunner.  In this episode, Angel shares how running and Judge Mitchell have impacted his life and his next goal--to qualify for the Boston Marathon--which we have no doubt Angel will do.
