Welcome back to the Shared Practices Podcast! Last week, we talked about the experiences of a successful FFS practice. This week, we hear a different story. We sat down with Dr. Stephanie Mapp, a dentist who sought to expand from her successful startup and purchased an FFS practice she felt had great prospects for growth. Her experiences thereafter became a lesson to herself--and ultimately our listeners--as to how obstacles like patient and staff attrition, location, and economic recession can spoil an otherwise fruitful FFS opportunity. We thank Dr. Mapp for her honesty and transparency and hope our listeners learn as much from this as we did!

Dr. Mapp is a 1994 graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She was a psychology major at UF and obtained early admission to the dental college after only three years of undergraduate work. Dr. Mapp continues to learn new techniques and the latest dental information by attending courses from some of the most prestigious and trusted names in dentistry in the country. She is Invisalign certified and a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Clay Women in Business.
