Welcome to back to the Shared Practices Podcast! This week our guest is Dr. Dawn Baker. Dawn is a practicing dentist in Gahanna, Ohio. In this episode Dawn brings a different perspective to practice ownership and dentistry. Dawn worked as a dental assistant before dental school and discussed her perspective throughout school, as an associate, and eventually ownership. Dawn talks about her journey as a practice owner during her “jumpstart” practice with only 150 existing patients and dental chairs from the 1950s! She also talks about her challenges with hiring and firing as the owner and leader of the office. Dawn recommended a non-dental CE for gaining leadership skills: Next Level Trainings (link below).
