In this episode of Spiritual Shit You Need To Know, I’m chatting with Kristina, who is a doctoral student at the university of Toronto within the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, about the importance of caring for yourself and others who are in the caregiver role. She is also passionate about issues in home care, dementia, caregiver support, health service research, palliative care, and humanizing medicine.Kristina Marie Kokorelias is committed to being a lifelong student. Currently, Kristina is a doctoral student within the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute at the University of Toronto. Her current program of research aims to explore the complexities of caring for persons with dementia in the community, across the illness and caregiving trajectory, to inform the development timely and relevant programs to support family caregivers sustain their role.Outside of academia, Kristina is interested in wellness, volunteerism, baking, reading and spending time with friends and family.
