LaVar Ball is trying to get a billion dollar deal for his Big Baller Brand and right now it’s not going so hot. Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas all said they are not interested in Lonzo Ball. Nike consultant George Raveling called LaVar “the worst thing to happen to basketball in the last hundred years.”

The biggest problem he’s running into is that he’s putting the Big Baller Brand before the success of Lonzo Ball. The model he is trying to fix isn’t broken. There is no incentive for the top brands to create a partnership deal where they promote Big Baller Brand. If he wanted to create a billion dollar disruptive brand, how would he need to do it?
