Today's show covers what it's like for new moms experiencing more postpartum depression. This is more severe than the very common "baby blues," that most moms experience. When those blues don't go away or become more intense and last longer, they eventually interfere with your ability to care for your baby and handle other daily tasks.

Symptoms usually develop within the first few weeks after giving birth, but may begin earlier ― during pregnancy ― or later — up to a year after birth. These symptoms include irritability, intense anger or mood swings, insomnia, withdrawing, overwhelm, fatigue, restlessness, severe anxiety, thoughts of harming yourself or your baby. Today’s guest will share with us her experience with postpartum depression, what she’s learned, and how’s she has coped.
