I have no doubt that all of us have much doubt when it comes to our abilities as mothers. If there is a mother out there that thinks she has it all figured out, please send her my way because I’d love to know her secret. But just like anything in life, I think Heavenly Father expects us to mother in darkness so that we can rely on Him and have a large dose of faith and hope. We learn of the faith we need in this role from probably one of the most talked about mothers in all of history, Mary the mother of Jesus. When she was asked to become the mother of the Savior of the world she didn’t ask how or demand to know all the answers. She simply said yes and placed her trust in God to help her. That is what each of us is also asked to do. To simply do our best as mothers and then rely heavily on God to help us as we stumble and fail and then pick ourselves up and keep going. Warning: I cry on todays episode, but it’s who I am and I’m trying to be real and it’s because I know so many who are struggling with their children and their ability as mothers. I believe in you and I know heaven believes in you to. You are exactly the mother your children need!
Enjoy!
