Social media is far from a new concept now and most of us have spent years building followings, businesses, and connections online. “Influencer” is an official job title now and while you certainly won’t hear us talking down about influencing as a career, sometimes there’s a level of… let’s call it self-importance, that we see a lot of influencers seem to have. We all know someone who makes 9 posts about the fact that they aren’t going to post anymore, or the person who claims everyone is asking for a link to their toaster (and we all know no one is). Social media has been a great force in our lives, but lately our relationship with it is starting to change. Maybe it’s age, or the algorithm, or maybe we’re just boring now. In any case, we’re getting real sick of that self-importance we see everywhere. What about you?
