Welcome to the Fan Engagement Chat, the episode of the Fan Engagement Pod where we hear about someone’s approach to Fan Engagement.

Until recently, Jacob Naish was Commercial Director at FC Nordsjælland - one of the most innovative sports organisations in the world and the youngest professional football team in Europe. The club - part of the Right to Dream Group - has a unique model for developing players which emphasises the nurturing of purpose, character, and leadership in the young players they create.

He now works as Purpose Lead for the Right to Dream Group. He’s previously worked for Fulham FC’s foundation as Head of Development, and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Albion in the Community.

Jacob’s one of the most deep thinkers on football clubs and the game more generally, and really understands the deep connections between clubs, fans and communities. It’s a real treat to get to chat with him for so long about Engagement, and the wider issues at FC Nordsjaelland, the game in Denmark and football more widely.

Apologies for the sound quality from me on this episode.
