Did you know that when a movie is being shot, the audio is recorded separately from the video? Hence, they need a way to combine the video and audio timelines. This is where the 'clapper bird' comes in - the slate that goes 'clap' at the beginning of every shot.
It
also acts as the cue for the actors to start acting.
Similarly, our habits also require a cue to get started. But eventually, our brains might stop registering the cue. What are you supposed to do then?
On this episode, Ashdin talks about cue fatigue, and how to avoid it.
