For a long time, the accepted protocol in the medical field for those with insulin resistance and diabetes was  to follow a high fat, low carb diet and take high doses of insulin injections for life. But that never truly felt like a solution for the guests on today’s show, who have taken the old methods the outdated science and turned it on it’s head.

Diabetes experts Robby Barbaro, MPH and Cyrus Khambatta, PhD share their stories from being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes to how they conquered their condition and learned to thrive through the healing powers of a high-carb plant-based diet. Since healing themselves, they’ve gone on to help thousands of others manage and reverse their diabetes through diet and lifestyle changes, as outlined in their online program and newly-released book, Mastering Diabetes .
