Challenge Roth - An Inside look at Roth with Race Director Felix Walchshoefer! - a podcast by The Pacing and Racing Podcast

Today we have Felix Walchshoefer on the show who happens to be the Race Director of one of the biggest long-distance triathlon events in the world! With less than one month to go until Challenge Roth 2019 we thought it would be a great idea to give everyone an inside look into what makes this the biggest Long-Distance Triathlon in the world! With over 84 Nations in attendance, over 260,000 spectators in the crowd and over 5500 athletes participating, there’s no wonder its known to be one of the most popular races in the world.

Now for those who don’t know, it’s a 3,8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run in Germany and there is no qualifications needed to enter the race; however because of it’s popularity it is said to be like a lottery to get your ticket to the race as it sells out in less than a minute of being open! 

So in this episode Felix will fill us in on what makes this race so special, what it’s like coordinating such a big event, and he goes into some great detail on some amazing stories about the race and what you can expect when traveling to Roth!
