In this Podcast we meet with Australian Professional Triathlete, Ellie Salthouse.

I am excited to share this episode with you guys because as you’ll hear in today’s episode, Ellie is an absolute delight to talk to and has such an incredible and inspiring story in Triathlon and I think it would resonate with many of you listening.

Ellie started racing in the ITU circuit and eventually left the sport altogether to pursue other dreams. When she returned to the sport, she eventually made the decision to pursue jumping up to the IM 70.3 distance – and in doing so, her first year she had earned herself 4 half distance titles, multiple podium finishes and a top 10 World Championship finish. This year in 2019 she recently claimed a 2nd place in 70.3 Geelong and a 3rd place in 70.3 Oceanside and it looks like this is just the beginning of a successful 70.3 year!

We will get to hear about her experiences in ITU and the shift towards the 70.3, as well as hear lots of her advice when it comes to training to compete and train for the 70.3 distance format.

We also go over her future plans in the sport, nutrition strategies, how to overcome race nerves and more!

I personally am a big big fan of her in triathlon racing so the honor is all mine in this podcast, and I’m sure after you finish this episode you will be too!
