Today we have Swedish Pro Triathlete Jesper Svensson on for Episode number 7 of the Road to Roth Training Series!

So for the first time listeners, a bit of a backstory here with the Road to Roth Series – at the beginning of August I announced that I’ll be doing my first full distance triathlon at Challenge Roth in 2020, and since then, I found that a lot of listeners were actually on a similar path; whether it was with Roth or another race; but they too were on their crazy journey to their first full distance triathlon and looking forward to hearing content specific to the full distance!

Of course, never having actually done the distance before, I figured everyone could benefit the most in a series where I interview top professional triathletes and coaches that will be able to provide a ton of training tips specific to the full distance as well as give us the motivation and insight we need to help us maximize our performances come race day!

Now this man needs no introduction, with a second-place finish at Challenge Roth 2019, Jesper has truly made a name for himself and is always so exciting to watch race.

Jesper goes into great detail with us on his experiences and journey to second place in the iconic Challenge Roth and what it meant and felt like to him. We spoke on some course-specific tips leading into Challenge Roth as well as some great insight on nutrition both on-course and during your travels to a race!

We also chat about his decision on riding with Ventum Racing, what his schedule looks like going into next season and we end it off with a few great age group training tips!

I am really excited about this one guys and I could keep going on all day, but let’s hear it all from Jesper himself!
