“My goal every day is to make a friend and start a conversation, ask questions, be interested in the other person, listen and really genuinely care about what they're saying. And I think so many times, and I did this for years where I couldn't get a relationship started or it would crumble or, I'd be so frustrated because nothing's working. I can't stay connected with this person or it's uncomfortable for me or I can't move it into maybe some business when it started at our friend relationship to start with. And one thing I had to start doing is I had to start being more present. I had to listen more. I had to ask questions where I would get to know about that person and really find out what we have in common and what we can start talking about and what we can start laughing about and, just growing closer together. And when you do all those things, here's what I know what happens; is they, their guard goes down, they like you more, they trust you more, they're more open to hearing maybe what you have to offer from a product service standpoint, a business standpoint. And they're more open to look at things and do things once that is established.”
