Wendy day (@rapcoaliton) has been in the industry for nearly 30 years. She was instrumental in building the careers of Enimem, David Banner, Twista, Cash Money, Slick Rick, Master P and more. Wendy started as an executive in marketing and advertising, but out of disgust for how the industry exploited rappers, she depleted her life savings to open a nonprofit called the Rap Coalition that helps artists navigate the industry and essentially get rappers out of unfair deals while simultaneously getting them great deals.
She authored the book How to Get a Record Deal 📘
She negotiated Cash Money's 30 million dollar deal. 💰
She negotiated David Banner's 10 million dollar deal tax 💰
Day organized the 1997 Rap Olympics, invited Eminem, led to an Interscope Records deal. 📀
Wendy dedicates her life as an advocate and educator to artists on how to be successful in music, she wants everyone to be able to quit their day jobs to be an artist full time and to frankly not get screwed in the industry.
