[117] What Are You Avoiding That You Know You Should Be Doing? - a podcast by Jerod Morris & Jon Nastor

This week's episode is pulled directly from Jonny's own showrunning experience with Hack the Entrepreneur. Recently, he had fallen into a rut in which he'd gone close to a month without emailing his list. With every passing day, the prospect of reaching back out felt more difficult and monumental. Until he just ... did it.

So we discuss some of the lessons Jonny learned from this experience, and that we hope you learn too:

• Why doing something (even if it's imperfect) is better than doing nothing.
• The upside of repelling the people who aren't really your ideal, long-term audience members.
• Remembering that you're not the only one who gets stuck (and why sometimes admitting it to your audience can be the best way to improve your connection).

Jonny actually reads the email he ended up sending, verbatim, and provides the open rate, unsubscribe rate, and reply rate that it generated. And, naturally, Jerod proceeds to give him a pep talk about why the numbers are encouraging. :-)
