Coming Out Stories: On Being Queer(er) with Kathryn Budig - a podcast by Kayla Nielsen

:: ::

In this episode, host Kayla Nielsen has a thoughtful conversation with Kathryn Budig on her process of “coming out,” which is in quotes because Kathryn doesn’t feel that she ever came OUT of anything the same way that many people may understand the concept.

Kathryn is a world-renowned yoga teacher, author, fashion creator, and podcast host who had a “coming out” experience both privately and publicly.

She goes through her experience of being married to a man, then meeting and falling in love with a woman and how that was received.

She explains why she doesn’t care for labels, and how she and her wife show up in a way that’s authentic to their relationship and beliefs.

We dive into everything from misgendering, variety of privilege, her love story, dynamics of her relationship, spiritual bypassing, female empowerment, and how we can use language and practices to bring people together rather than separate ourselves further.
