The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves.
This week's episode is an On the Couch Episode all about Joan Carol Clayton from the syndicated show, Girlfriends. My special guest therapist is Jihan Madyun, LICSW, from The Fulfillment Project in Washington, DC. We discussed the expectations we have for our lives as women and how these can sometimes be unrealistic, the use of art in therapy, showing grace and compassion for ourselves, dealing with FOMO in relationships, and the pressure we have to have our lives look a certain way by the age of 30.
