Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a silent but insidious condition that is not widely understood or taken seriously enough. At least 46% of the US population unknowingly has it and in the obese population, it may be as high as 80%. 10% of children have it and if obese, 38% suffer from NAFLD.
