Fat is bad for you, right?  Otherwise, why would food companies produce items labeled “low-fat”, “reduced-fat” or “fat-free”?  Despite the implications of many popular diets, we do need some fat in our bodies.  Fat helps protect our organs from getting banged around when we move, and the right kinds of fat are important for cardiovascular health and the absorption of certain vitamins and minerals.

What we must remember, however, is that not all fat is good fat.  In this episode, we discuss the roles (both good and bad) that fats play in our bodies.  We also break down the types of fat, explain which ones you want to consume, and how to get them.
