Today's dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to love and I'm not talking about love for someone else. I'm talking about love for, to and with yourself. This came to me in my meditation this morning. I'm meditating on my heart chakra, and I'm understanding and realizing, but more importantly, embracing how important self-love is. It reminds me of the track with India.Arie "Ready for Love." In it she says, "I am ready for love. Why are you hiding from me?" Are you hiding from yourself? Are you showing up authentically for yourself? And you'll know that based on how you feel, based on how you show up and more importantly, why you show up. Are you allowing yourself to be seen? Are you allowing yourself to be heard?

Are you honoring yourself? You said that you're ready for love. So what does it look like? Sometimes I feel we have a tendency to judge ourself. Judge ourselves pretty harshly and not show so much grace. But there's rain in every rainbow for every down. You must come up. India says, "I am ready for love. All of the joy and the pain and all the time that it takes." How patient are you with yourself? I know you want to be great, but there steps to greatness. It's a process. Be gentle with yourself. Everything that's happening to you is actually happening for you. But are you loving yourself enough to see it? She continues on, "If you give me half a chance I'll prove this to you. I will be patient, kind, faithful and true." Can you do that for yourself? Can you gift yourself that kind of love? If you are what you attract, what are you attracting in your life? I came across this tweet on Twitter from Idil Ahmed. Pardon me. If I mispronounce her name, it's I D I L A H M E D. She says and I quote, "When you start taking care of yourself, you start feeling better, you start looking better, and you even start to attract better. It always starts within."

So are you ready to laugh? Are you ready to love yourself? The time is now.All right. That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow us on all social media @VitaminDDawnDaiand until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset."
