Eating a clean, well balanced diet is good for us; however, it can become dangerous when taken to the extreme. Some people's dietary restrictions that are intended to promote health may actually lead to unhealthy consequences. In this episode, Dr. Ryan Lowery talks about Orthorexia, an eating disorder defined as an unhealthy obsession with food. He reflects on his own struggle with disordered eating and poor relationship with food. From feeling anxiety around certain foods to avoiding social events with food, Ryan shares the top signs of Orthorexia and how to return to a more balanced way of eating.
